Chapter 1: Death of a genius, birth of a god

The earth year 2097

'Ahhhhhh'

'I did It, I did it, finally after 5 year I completed the soul artificial intelligence chip, for years I have been ridiculed for my ideas of creating an artificial chip that can meld into a person's body and DNA to become a part of a person and not an external device, today at the age of 25 I am finally achieving my dream'.

Afzol couldn't control his excitement for the whole of his life he had been the smartest person of his age, finishing university degrees 8 subjects and achieved the highest qualification before the age of 25.

In the year 2050 artificial chips were created, these were microchips that could be implanted into the eyes and they had the capability to store and analyze information for users, but they weren't apart of the human mind and was only capable of a little amount of information. For many years the world's smartest people have tried to find a way to expand the storage of the chip but were unable to.

This is where our Afzol comes in, his dream has been to find a way to make the AI chip part of the DNA so that AI chip could store data directly into the mind which has near infinite capacity as it is known we humans only use less than 3% of the human brain.

Finally I have done it, Afzol said to himself as he looked at the tiny tablet shape AI chip on his hand, now it's time for me to see the Fruits of all my labour, he said as he put the AI chip In his mouth, as the chip went in his mouth it dispersed to every part of his body but just as it reached his brain he started feeling strong pain and soon passed out.

'Ahhhh'

As Afzol woke up and opened his eyes he looked around and saw a small room full of dust and dirt. 'Where am I, what is going on, I remember I just created the soul AI chip and ate it, what happened why did I wake up in this place, ahhh my head, why is it hurting so much', The pain was sudden, and brought with it a flood of strange memories.

Afzol started to remember new memories of a small 14-15-year-old kid living in a forest on a small tree house his whole life, his parents were beggars that died a couple of days ago by a beast that attacked them, his parents used all their strength to distract the beast so that he could escape.

The boy managed to escape but his parents were killed by the beast but the boy was poisoned by the beast so after he went back to the little tree house they lived he was on the path towards death but just before his death Afzol soul traveled to this world and merged with the young boy's soul and some at the same time removing the poison from his body.

'What are these memories this kid who is he and why am I seeing his memories”

Afzol got up and walked to the door but then he suddenly stopped. In front of him was a broken mirror but what he saw was not his face and body but the body and face of the boy in his new memories, 'what's going on, what happened to me, why I am I in the body of this kid'.

Afzol calmed himself and thought through everything that happened, ' ahh did I really die and get reincarnated into the body of this kid, did I die from the soul AI chip, this shouldn't have happened, I did many tests and made sure they weren't any problems, What happened to my AI'.

[Beep beep AI system starting, scanning for data, scanning host body]

[Integrating with world laws]

[Beep host body scan completed, would host like to see stats]

'Ahh, the AI chip, how did it reincarnate with me, this, it must not have melded with my DNA but my soul instead, I called it soul AI chip but I never imagined it would actually meld with my soul, this is amazing.'

Afzol was very confused but after a little thought, he remembered that he is in a different world and the AI must have upgraded itself to be more suitable for this world.

After adjusting to the new environment Afzol finally decided it was time to go out and look around and find a town or a city.

The memories of the previous Owner of this body knew very little and has been in this forest for most of his life, so Afzol has little information on how this world works and what is the cultivation system.

After walking a while Afzol felt as though he was being watched, so he stopped and looked around but found nothing.

But Suddenly he saw a blur run past him. Then as he turned around he saw a big wolf-like creature twice his body size standing in front of him, staring at him with its dark and terrifying eyes.

This was a terrifying creature straight out of a horror movie.

Afzol saw its eyes were looking at him as if looking at its lunch and he knew he was in big trouble. He quickly turned around and ran as fast as possible back to the tree house as he knew that was his only path to surviving this ordeal.

he was very close to the tree house and it would take only a few seconds to reach the tree house, but as he started to ran, the beast let out a roar and ran to Afzol.

Afzol only saw a blur as he was hit on his chest by the beasts right paw and smacked to the ground.

At this moment Afzol felt as though a huge hammer hit him, filling his whole body with pain.

[Host in critical condition]

“Ahhh what should I do?, what should I do?”

This was a moment of life and death, Afzol only had one choice and that’s to fight. Afzol held a small blade that the previous soul of this body always had on his waist that was given from his dead parents and held it in his arms waiting for the beast to strike again.

After the beast saw that the prey was still alive it came in for a second attack, Afzol ley in wait and just as its claws were about to reach his chest, Afzol moved with his quickest speed with all his might to slice the beast's neck with his blade.

The blade was hit like lightning and sliced deep into the beast's neck and a fountain of blood spewed out of the neck which caused the beast to die and fall right beside Afzol.

“Ding!”

“Congratulations host has killed a qi refining level 5 beast”

“Host received 80 experience points”

“Congratulations Host has levelled up to QI gathering stage”

“Host has advanced to qi gathering level 2”

“Host can now choose 1 main and one sub innate abilities”

“Host has 3 innate ability to choose from; here are the introduction to the basic skills of the innate abilities;

1. Elemental god souls; makes host the son of any one of the elements and as the son of an element, the host will have extreme affinity and immunity with that element. It will give the host the power to absorb and control the power of that element.

2. Immortal god soul; makes Host the Bane of death, Host will have an increased body and soul regeneration speed and can one day have an unkillable body and soul.

3. Alchemy god soul; gives Host the eye of alchemy and extreme talent in alchemy.

As Afzol Laid on the ground unable to move and in extreme pain he heard continues notifications in his head and at the same time felt a warm energy flow through his body and he felt like he was much more powerful than he has ever felt before.

But at the same time, he still couldn’t move and felt like he was going to die from the pain he was feeling.

Just as he was thinking of how he was going to survive he heard the innate ability notification and whatever he heard brought him extreme shock and happiness.

“Everyone in this world must get an innate ability when they start cultivation but my innate abilities sound too overpowered don't they”

“It must be because I have the AI chip and the fact that My soul has merged with another soul which has enabled me to get these overpowered abilities”

“ I have to choose two of the innate abilities but which two, they are all so overpowered. I have to choose the immortal god soul as the main one, it will be able to heal my injuries. I need to get out of here soon as possible before the beasts are attracted by the smell of blood” “I don’t need help with alchemy as I have the AI and I am a genius so I have to choose an elemental god soul but which one, I have always liked lighting users in novels so I will choose that”

After that, he quickly choose the immortal god soul and the lighting god soul.

Right after the notification, Afzol felt a magical energy fill his body and soul, all the cells in his body felt full of energy and strength. at the same time, his body started to Heal at a pace that’s viable to the eyes.

Afzol didn’t immediately check on the details as he must deal with his current problem first.

After 10 minutes his body finally healed enough to allow him to move, but although he could move his internal injuries were not fully healed so he could only move with slow steps but that was enough as he only needed to get away from the beast corpse and he would be safe.

Afzol thought “I need to go back to the tree house and rest there”

As he thought this he slowly walked towards the tree house.

Although before he was injured he only needed a few seconds of running to reach the tree house, now with his injured body he reached the tree house after several minutes of walking.

As he climbed the tree house he felt his broken bones and damaged organs shake inside his body and extreme pain ran through his body and mind but he could do nothing but use all his strength to keep himself from scream in pain in fear of alerting other beasts to his location.

After a few moments of painful claiming he finally reached the tree house.

He just laid on the floor thinking of how the previous owner of this body survived in this forest And how lucky he and his parents were to be able to survive for so long.

But he knew they had little choice on where they could live as they were poor beggars and here they were many fruit trees as a source of food for them so they had to take the risk of being attacked by monsters and also they lived very close to the city so monsters were very rare where they lived.

The previous owner of the body dreamed that one day he would be rich and leave a life of luxury without having to worry about how many days he would go without eating again.

His life was truly a life full of pain and suffering.

After thinking this he decided to forget the past and help the previous owner achieve his dream of being rich.

As Afzol lay there waiting for his body to heal he decided to explore the new AI chip.

Afzol looked at a 3D hologram in from of him.

Afzol figured out that the AI has much information that it never had but he guessed it was from the AI’s integration with the world laws.

After asking the question he heard the women voice of the AI.

[An innate ability is given to all cultivators when they reach the first stage of cultivation. An innate ability grows with the user and evolves as the user reaches a new stage. Main innate ability will evolve at every new stage and minor innate ability will evolve every two stages in cultivation.]

Chapter 2: New world, New life

Afzol finally began to understand the new world that he has reincarnated into and to tell the truth he was more excited then sad about dying on earth. he felt qi running through his meridians giving him immense strength.

one thing he found surprising was that from the previous soul he knew that cultivators have to cultivate in this new world with meditation techniques to gather qi and advance in cultivation but somehow I was able to advance by killing beasts and receiving experience point from the kill.

although cultivators can help increase their cultivation speed using the energy from beast cores, this was different from just increasing cultivation from only killing beasts and it was possible that this was also the same with humans as well and if so it meant that it would be hundreds of times easier for him to cultivate than others and it also meant that he will have no bottlenecks, because as long as he has enough experience point he will be able to reach the next cultivation stage, this was a huge cheat.

Afzol thought "how can I not be happy, it is the dream of millions of people on earth to be able to experience this kind reincarnations and i don't any reasons to go back to earth anyways"

after 2 hours of resting he finally felt his health back to normal and so it was time to go out and explore this brand new world.

afzol got up and felt many times stronger than before and this feeling was amazing.

afzol went down from the free house and moved around testing this new body and his new powers. he went up to a tree and punched the tree with his strongest punch and but right after felt pain run through his right arm and all he felt was pain.

he roared in pain "ahhh fuck that was painful"

he looked at his arm and it was bleeding from all his fist but to his surprise, it was also healing at a fast pace and soon after a few minutes the cuts were gone and the only thing left was bruises which also started to disappear.

"this is too godly and this is only the first stage of the immortal god soul, in the future, i truly will be unkillable"

after seeing that his arm has healed, he looked back at the tree he punched and to his shock, their was a fist size hole in the tree that was a few cm deep where he punched.

"My strength has improved so much, i need to test my speed"

as he said this he ran as fast as possible and his body despaired from where he was standing in a flash. his felt the wind run past his face and electrical current ran through his body making him even faster as he ran.

he thought "with this speed i am probably a couple times faster then the fastest man back on earth, maybe faster" "the electrical current must be the lightning god soul which is increasing my speed. with this god soul, i should many times faster than others at the same stage as me unless they also have speed based innate abilities but even so there speed should only be able to match me as my innate ability is a god soul which I believe is one of the highest level innate abilities"

as he thought this he felt extremely happy " with my innate abilities and the AI chip nothing will be able to obstruct me hahaha"

after laughing decided it was time to leave and start his new life in a new world.

he used his memory from the previous owner of this body to navigate his way through the forest to the city

the minimap was able to show a map of anything with 25 meters of his radius, in the middle of the map was a green dot and this was afzol and 20 meters to his right was a red dot, this dot is another lifeform.

"AI what is the red dot and what's its cultivation?"

as he asked the AI replied

Hearing the AI afzol realized there was much from this world that the AI didn't know but just knowing the cultivation was enough and as its cultivation was the same as his afzol decided to find it to fight it to compare his strength with the beasts. what afzol didn't know was that based on just strength beasts are many times stronger than human cultivators and it only because of martial arts skills that human can match the same level beasts.

Without knowing this afzol headed towards the beast with his small blade on hand.

Chapter 3: Afzol's power and the unconscious beast

As Afzol walked towards the beast Afzol was a little nervous as he has never killed anything besides the beast before but he knew in this world to survive one must be fearless and cruel.

Afzol thought " I will never be one of these idiot MC's that let his enemies go or escape which made him boil in anger whenever he read these part, sometimes even wanted to shouted " what the fuck is wrong with you, you moron, you know they have backers more powerful than you saw why would you give them the chance to get there elders on you."

to Afzol, these parts were one of the most frustrating parts of reading most novels.

After thinking this he told himself that he would not do the same.

Now, Afzol hid behind trees as he slowly got nearer to the beast, now he could see the beast. This beast was about 3 times bigger than him and looked close to a panther with dark black hair, but this best had two horns on its head.

Afzol checked the minimap to make sure no other beasts were around. Then slowly got closer to the beast until it was only a meter away from him, then he ran toward the beast at his fastest speed and as he moved to strike its neck with his blade and the blade was inches away from its neck the beast suddenly jumped and so the blade missed the neck and hit the beasts right leg, creating a huge cut that made the jumping beast bleed a fountain of blood.

As the beast landed on the ground it let out a huge roar of anger and pain, it ran a safe distance away from Afzol before it looked in anger at Afzol and pounced on him.

Afzol was calm and waited for the beast to come as he wanted to test his body strength and speed, so as the beast came running at him he quickly dodged and punched the belly of the beast and as the fist landed the beast was sent flying like an arrow.

Its body hit a small tree and the tree broke in half from the force of the crash. If anyone saw this they would be horrified, it was unimaginable that a human could so easily toss around a beast that was the same level as the person fighting it.

Afzol thought " it seems that the immortal and lightning god soul is also improving my body constitution making it stronger and fiercer. This time I didn't bleed and only felt a little pain"

It is commonly known that beasts have a great advantage to humans when it came to body strength.

After the beast landed it roared again and got up and ran towards Afzol again With blazing red eyes full of anger and but it was clear that it was much slower from it damage to the leg and massive loss of blood, but it has lost its mind in anger or else it would have run.

As it was much slower this time Afzol didn't doge but punched out straight towards its face. Afzol could have just used the blade to cut its neck but he wanted to test his fist strength.

As the fist landed on the beast's head a crack sound was heard and the beasts flew backwards and so did Afzol, the crack sound came from Afzol broken arm bone, he had used to much strength and the head was the strongest part of the beast

Afzol let out a little sound of main " ahh It seems that my body constitution has yet improved enough to take this much force but at the rate that my body is evolving it should only take it a couple of days till I can take this kind of force"

If people heard what he said people would freak out because even pinnacle qi refining wouldn't have the strength he has at the beginning of qi gathering

As held his hand in pain he felt The broken bones in his body heal at a fast pace and it felt like he would be back in normal in 30 minutes or so. It has to be known that for this kind of injury to heal for a normal person would take months and for Afzol to take on 30 minutes was a miracle.

As he saw that his hand was gonna be fine he looked toward to best that lay on the ground. It seemed to be unconscious.

"AI what's the status of the beast"

The AI replied

[beast unconscious, in critical condition and will die within 1 minutes from loss of blood]

Confirming that best was not playing a trick on him he moved toward to beast and used the blade to slit its throat to kill it.

As soon as the beast died notification rang in Afzol's head

[Ding]

[host has killed a level 1 qi gathering beast and has earned 5 experience points]

[congratulation host has leveled up]

[ host has reached level 3 qi gathering stage]

As Afzol heard the continues notification he was felt his body gathering a massive amount of qi from the world, filling up his meridians. It felt amazing like having a warm bath.

After the qi gathering stopped he took his blade and stabbed it into the beast's brain and took out a small marble like gem, it looked like a black marble.

[Host has found a level 1 qi gathering beast core]

[Consuming beast core will give host 3 experience points]

Hearing this made Afzol smile

Being able to earn points from killing the beast and from its core meant it would be faster to get experience to level up.

After taking the beast core Afzol left the area and headed towards the city

Chapter 4: Bandits on the road

On his walk towards the city he checked his status and after he ate the beast core he now had 3 experience point.

after leveling up he felt his strength and speed grow again

Afzol thought ”I am guessing that my strength is higher than these of the same level due to the fact that I have to god souls level innate abilities” “ and the lightning element is known for its destructive and fast nature and because of the immortal god soul I am able to use more force with having to worry about causing damage to my body”

as he was walking and analysing his abilities and strengths he finally saw ahead of him a road and see the road meant that he was headed in the right path.

Now all he had to do was follow the road and he would soon reach the City.

But as he was about to reach the road he suddenly saw a carriage coming from a distance. The carriage was wasn't very good looking and looked old and worn out. As the carriage got closer and closer afzol waited by the side of the road to let the carriage pass before he continued towards the city.

Afzol thought about asking for a ride but after realising that he was in the body of a beggar with shredded clothes he realised that the person in the carriage might want to kill him rather then help him out for stopping them.

So he decided to avoid the trouble and let them pass before walking to the city, but to his surprise the carriage didn’t go past him but stopped next to him.

The carriage was controlled by an old man in his 40s but what surprised afzol was that the carriage was not being pushed by horses but 2 beasts that were similar to horses but these beasts had 2 pointy horns on the top of their heads.

as the carriage stopped the carriage window was pushed open.

inside the carriage sat 2 people an old man who looked to be in his mid 30s and beside him was a young beautiful girl that looked to be in her late teen around 18-20 years old. She had beautiful clear skin, eyes in the color of jade and dark black hair that was tied up behind her head.

Inside the carriage, the man spoke to the young lady "miss we shouldn't stop, it will dangerous to talk to the kid, this could be a trap to use the kid as bait to lure people into traps by bandits and this kid looks to be a street beggar" "it will be safer for us to continue and if anything goes wrong we might miss the disciple recruitment"

In this world getting killed by bandits and bandits stealing from weaker was a common scene.

This young lady was actually from a pretty wealthy family and could easily afford a good quality carriage but she chooses to use this old looking carriage to avoid the risk of bandit attacking their carriage.

The two beasts were qi gathering level 5, the old man controlling the carriage was a mortal, but to his surprise, the men inside the carriage were at the qi refining stage level 8 and even more surprising was that the young lady was qi refining level 9.

After seeing this afzol guessed that the next stage in cultivation is the qi refining stage.

"I know I can easily defeat anyone a couple of levels above me but I have never fought some in a whole different stage and these two are in the final levels of the next stage, I am sure I would not be able to defeat them but I should be able to escape with my advanced speed." afzol thought after examining their levels.

As he was in thought he suddenly heard the young lady's voice in his ear, "little kid where are your parents? Are you lost? Do you want some money?"

As the young lady asked all these questions she took out a bag from her waist and took some coins out of the bag and put the coins on afzol's hands

Afzol was surprised for a second and was confused why the lady was giving him money but realized that he was in the body of a beggar and the lady was probably just a kind person that felt sorry for him and wanted to give him some money.

Afzol didn’t reject the money since he would need money to buy food once he got to the city.

As for the other questions afzol answered with a lie “ thank you miss, my parents are in the city and I am going to the city to meet up with them.”

“ are you going to walk to the city? It gonna take more than an hour to walk to the city.”

The lady had a perplexed look as if in thought of making an important decision and after a few seconds she finally spoke again

“Would you like to ride with us?”

Afzol was quite surprised by the offer and as afzol was about to agree the man inside the carriage spoke out towards the lady

“Miss don’t do this. It isn’t safe”

Afzol could clearly see that the man was completely against him coming on board and afzol understood why.

It looked the lady was quite naive and very innocent, but in this world the worst life was for the naive and innocent.

After hearing the woman afzol decided to reject them to avoid trouble or an argument.

“ miss thank you for the offer but I will go by walking and ask for more money from people along the road” afzol said to the lady. He decided to use his identity as a beggar as an excuses.

He thanked them and said goodbye to them and turned around to start walking to the city.

But as he turned around the AI system suddenly gave out warming’s

[Multiple life forms with killing intent heading towards host]

Afzol looked in the mini map quickly and saw about 7 red dots from the forest heading towards them. Afzol wasn’t sure if there were humans or beasts but if they were humans, by the fact that they had killing intent it’s was highly likely they were bandits. And if they beasts they were also looking to kill.

As he didn’t know what level the enemies were he decided to warn the carriage lady. So he turned around and headed back to the lady.

"miss I believe that there is a group. Of enemies headed this way that mean to harm you."

Afzol could guess that if the enemy was a group of bandits they definitely weren't here for a beggar like him.

The lady was shocked by the sudden turn of event.

"little boy what are you talking about" as she said this she thought that this boy was talking crazy, but then she saw the boy taking out a small knife from his pocket.

This scene made the lady and the men become serious. Both of them looked around but couldn't see anyone.

The man asked afzol "boy there is no one here, are you trying to play tricks on us?"as the man said this he looked quite angry

Afzol didn't say anything else because the enemies would be here in seconds.

And surely as he said it after a few seconds some muscular man jumped out of the forest heading straight towards them. They held swords and axes in their hands.

Everyone is the carriage was shocked by the sudden turn of events and froze for a second, but then immediately took out their swords from their waists.

Afzol looked at the group running toward them and with the help with the AI system he could see that the 2 at the front were QI refining level 8 and 9, and behind them were 1 Qi refining level 5 and one Qi refining level 3.

Afzol was quite worried he had never fought anyone in the qi refining stage and now he was facing so many enemies. Although the lady and the man could fight the 2 highest level bandits but the other 2 qi refining was still left.

As he was thinking this, the four bandits surrounded them.

Then the man with the highest cultivation pointed his sword towards afzol and the carriage people and said " what a dump, you guys are quite smart to use this broken carriage as camouflage and it nearly worked but luckily, one of my guys has an innate ability that allows him to enhance his hearing and luckily he heard you two talking about your rich family couple of mills back and so we've been following you since then. Now hand over everything you have and you can go free"

Chapter 5: Fighting a Qi refining level 5

The man and lady looked at each other and agreed to hand over their money as they understood that they were not going to be able to defeat four against two. So they both took out all their money and handed it all to the man and walked back toward the carriage.

But as they were about to leave the man with the lowest cultivation whispered something to the leader and right after the leader went forwards and stopped the man and the lady.

"the young lady needs to stay" the leader shouted.

"what! that wasn't the deal" the man with the lady told the leader of the bandits

"what deal, I don't care what I said before, now hand over the girl and leave or die" the leader shouted

The man and the lady knew this wasn't going to go well and this would definitely be a battle to the death, so right away they got ready to fight

All this while afzol was just standing there, it seemed that no one paid any attention to him, and this made him happy as it meant that they were underestimating him, which will be perfect for a sneak attack when the fight starts.

As he didn't know how powerful the qi refining was he decided to attack the weakest one because at least he was 90 % sure he could match him in strength.

In no-time, the battle started the girl was fighting the leader and the man was fighting the second strongest and the third strongest, only the bandit with the lowest cultivation was just watching the fight without moving.

Seeing this afzol saw the perfect opportunity to sneak attack, so he got closer to the bandit until he was close enough he ran with his fastest speed and before the bandit could realise what was happening there was knife slicing through this neck. The bandit turned to look at afzol’s face before plummeted to the ground.

The others immediately stopped there fights as they stared in horror as the saw the blood dripping out of bandits neck.

Then they turned to look at afzol and they looked like they were seeing the devil.

“Kevin! You bastard how dare you kill my people, I am going to skin you alive” the leader roared in anger

“Alex go kill the little brat” the leader shouted at the level 5 bandit.

As the leader of the bandit was shouted afzol heard several notifications from the AI.

[Ding! host has killed a level 3 Qi refining stage human]

[Ding! Host has received 98 experience points]

[Ding! Congratulations host has advanced to Qi gathering level 4]

[Ding! Congratulations host has advanced to Qi gathering level 5]

[Ding! Congratulations host has advanced to Qi gathering level 6]

Hearing the notifications made afzol smile. He at first he wasn’t sure if he could get experience points from killing human but the seeing that he can be a wonderful surprise.

After levelling up he felt a huge amount of Qi drawn into his body. His body felt multiple times more powerful and his strength was still growing. This feeling was truly amazing

As he was feeling all this, he suddenly felt a massive amount of killing intent towards him and this was coming from the level 5 Qi refining that was running towards him

Afzol held his knife ready to fight

“Boy get ready to die,” the bandit said as he swung his sword

Afzol went for a dodge and moved in a flash, after dodging he struck with his knife towards the bandit's left shoulder but before the knife could hit the bandits, the bandit moved out of the way to the right just enough to avoid the knife.

The way the bandit moved, It was like was like he knew exactly where the knife was going.

"hahaha, you didn't think it would be so easy for you to harm me. With sonic innate ability, I am able to easily see the directions of your attacks by following the sound of wind passing through your hands and the blade. Now give up and I will give you a quick death." the bandit said aloud without caring for the fact that he just reveals his powers to his enemies.

This was arrogance.

This was good for afzol as arrogance is the road to death

Afzol stood emotionless and moved to attack again, he ran at top speed and struck with his knife.

The bandit wasn't prepared for such speed and couldn't dodge his whole body so the knife struck his right arm leaving a long deep cut on his leg, but the bandit had a quick reaction and also struck afzol with his sword which cut straight through his clothes and hit his chest, the force from the hit threw afzol a couple of steps back, making him smash into the ground.

Afzol felt extreme pain in his chest and as he looked at his chest he saw blood flowing all over his chest, but under all the blood he could feel a warm energy around the cut in his chest, which with the help with the warm energy was healing at a pace visible to the eyes. But of course, he couldn't actually see it because of all the blood.

With great endurance, afzol withstood the pain and got up from the ground and he looked to his right where a few steps away, the bandit was laying on the ground as pools of blood flowed from his right leg. He was screaming in pain.

" hahaha, it looks like I hit a few of your blood vessels, unfortunately, I was not tall enough to strike at your neck," afzol said to the bandit as he walked towards the bandit

Afzol held his knife ready to make the kill but then he heard the shouts of the bandit leader in his ear.

"stooop" "boy don't you dare touch him"

Hearing the bandit leader Afzol smiled then struck out with his knife slicing open the bandits neck

"noooo" " you little bastard I am going to rip you apart and feed you to dog" the bandit leader shouted in anger. His eyes turned red as if losing all sanity. Then he ran towards afzol, but before he got close he was blocked by the young lady

"hahaha looks like today is your unlucky day. Before I was going to hand over all my money because you had more man but now without them to help you how are you going to defeat me who reached the same stage as you at 19. Now get ready to die" as the lady said this she attacked with full force and at the same time the other bandit and old man were also fighting with full force

At the same time afzol laid on the ground to rest till his wounds healed. He knew that the other bandits couldn't do anything to him with the lady the man she's with blocking them.

Just as he sat on the ground he heard a series of notifications from the AI.

Chapter 6: Killing the bandit leader, off to the city

After hearing all these notifications afzol smiled.

"with these level ups once I have healed I should be able to fight with a Qi refining level 8 and even if I can't defeat them I can still escape with ease with my speed," afzol thought as sat and waited for his body to heal.

With this fight, afzol was able to better analyse the strength of these at Qi refining stage and what he figured out was that with his strong constitution, speed and fast recovery speed he could fight people above his stage.

Another thing he understood from analysing his fight and the others fighting was that he didn't see anyone use a second innate ability. This was a huge surprise to him.

This meant that either he is the only person able to get a second innate ability or that have more than one innate ability was uncommon and even extremely rare.

This was great news for him as it is one of the reasons he is able to fight across stages and this will give him even greater advantages as his innate abilities evolve.

As afzol sat and healed he watched the fights in front of him reach a climax. The young lady was clearly stronger than the leader of the bandits. The Bandit leader was struggling to deal any damage to the young lady and was even injured.

It was clear to see that he was going to lose very soon. This was also what the leader of the bandit was thinking and so immediately turned to escape into the forest, but before he could run into the forest a spike rose from the ground and struck the leader bandits left leg, drilling a hole straight through the leg making the bandit slam to the ground.

After falling to the ground the leader bandit couldn't move a step as his leg was stuck within a spike made out of the earth.

This was the young lady's innate ability. She seems to be an earth elemental.

After being pierced and is now unable to move, the bandit leader could only wait for death. The young lady strode towards the bandit leader ready to kill.

But suddenly afzol shouted to the young lady "stop". And after hearing the shout the lady immediately stopped and looked at afzol

"little brother why do you stop me from killing him?" the lady asked afzol

The young lady's attitude towards afzol changed greatly after she saw him killing the two bandits. She was in awe of afzol after seeing his power, at the same time she was extremely grateful to him, as without him she might have been killed and worse she might have been raped or even tortured by the bandits before they killed her.

As afzol heard the young lady's words, he stood up and walked towards the lady.

Right now all the life-threatening damages to his have all been healed and all that was left were some minor cuts and bruises that were still healing.

"can you please let me kill him?" afzol said as he walked towards the lady and the bandit leader

The young lady was a bit surprised by the fact the little boy could kill someone with such comfort, she was always told that she was too soft and week for always avoiding killing and hurting people and beasts. So seeing a little boy many years younger than her act like this made her disappointed at herself.

Hearing that afzol wanted to kill the bandit leader She walked away from away from the bandit leader and went to kill the bandit fighting with her uncle.

As afzol stood a few steps away from the bandit leader he laughed

"hahaha so what were you saying before about skinning me alive and feeding me to beasts," afzol asked the bandit leader

" please don't kill me, I will do anything, I will give you everything I have" the bandit leader cried out

Afzol ignored the bandit leaders cries and sliced his knife straight through his neck.

Hearing all these notifications brought afzol great joy. The reason he wanted to kill the bandit leader himself was not because of his foul language but to see if he would get experience from killing someone he hasn't defeated himself

So hearing his level up gave him his answers.

killing the bandit leader Afzol looked through the body and found a small pouch on his waist which afzol took. Right now afzol was very poor and he needed to take everything he could get.

After checking that he hasn't missed anything he turned around and walked towards the lady and her uncle and as he got close to them he saw laying on the ground the dead body of the bandit the lady's uncle was fighting.

“Little brother you're so amazing, you are so strong.” As young lady commented as she saw him walking to her

“I was just lucky and ate some plant that made me really strong” afzol replied

“How come I can’t sense your cultivation? You can’t be in a higher stage than me can you” the lady asked

Afzol was surprised by this comment and so asked the AI system why she couldn’t see my cultivation

After hearing the announcement afzol was quite surprised that the AI had such a hidden feature and wondered what other undiscovered features there might be

“ it’s best to not let her know my cultivation or she might be too shocked by the fact that I can fight these above my stage and this could lead to other troubles, especially if people realise my fast speed of improvement.” Afzol thought as he denied the AI from turning off the hidden mode

“ I don’t know the Plant I ate must somehow be able to hide my cultivation from others,” afzol said to the lady

The lady accepted his reason not stopped asking any further about it

“Hi I didn’t introduce myself before, my name is Sarah and this is my uncle " the young lady introduced herself and her uncle to afzol

"Hi my name is Afzol" Afzol replied

"Thanks for helping fight these bandits, without your help I might have fallen into a really bad situation.

Didn't you say you were heading to the city? since we are both going there why don't you join us in my carriage and we can together?" Sarah asked

This time the uncle didn't interject, so Afzol accepted the offer since now.

Going with Sarah meant he could reach the city faster and also at the same time he could get some information from Sarah about this world and its cultivation system.

And so they got into the carriage, afzol and the uncle sat on one side as Sarah sat on the other and the carriage moved off.

Chapter 7: Cultivation stages and the four big Sects.

“I was lucky enough to get this strength from eating a mystical plant and now I want to cultivate to higher levels and become a cultivator, can you please tell me a bit about cultivation and how I should do it?” Afzol asked Sarah as he looked at her

“Didn’t you learn about cultivation at school?” Sarah replied with surprise

“I didn’t go to school, my parents are too poor to pay for school fees” Afzol replied with an excuse

Sarah didn’t ask any further as it was not her business

“ ok, cultivation is the road to the understanding the universe and also the way to become immortal by increasing one lifespan as they achieve breakthroughs in cultivation stages. But it is unknown if there is anyone that has ever reached the stage needed to gain unlimited lifespan. No one knows how many stages there are in cultivation. Some believe cultivation is endless while others believe at the end of all stages of cultivation a person can become a god.

But In this rebirth kingdom, the Highest seen cultivation is the Divine Sea Stage.” Sarah explained

“So what are the cultivation stages up-to Divine Sea Stage?” Afzol asked

Sarah was surprised by this question

“You really don’t know, even if you didn’t go school you should know the cultivation stages, every family teaches this basic knowledge to there family members,” Sarah asked with surprise

Afzol didn’t know how to respond to this, he thought by saying his parents are poor it would show that he came from a mortal family which gave him a reason for not knowing all this information but how could he know that except for beggars even the poorest family’s know the basics of cultivation stages.

“ Actually my parents didn’t teach me anything about cultivation as they thought I had no talent in it” Afzol made up a reason

“ oh. The cultivation stages are Qi gathering, Qi refining, Body transformations, Core creation and Divine Sea.

In the Qi gathering stage, you have to gather Qi into the meridians.

In Qi refining stage you have to take the Qi from the meridians to the Dantian.

At the body transformation stage you have to strengthen and refine your whole body in the Body transformation stage;

1. 1st to 3rd level is flesh and muscles refinement.

2. 4th to 6th level is bones refinement.

3. 6th to 9th level is inner organs refinement.

The body transformation is mainly for the purpose to prepare your body to be strong enough to contain the core that you create in the core creation stage.

In the Core creation stage, you have to create s Core in the shape of a marble-like these of beasts. Within the core, there will be a spatial dimension to store Qi and increase Qi absorption speed as the human body is far too small to store all the Qi we absorb. This stage is also known as the real start to cultivation by many as once one reaches this stage one lifespan will be up 250 years those breaking from the mortal shell. “ as Sarah explained in detail Afzol paid close attention to every detail but even if he didn’t pay a close attention he had the AI who retains all information

“ thank you this was really helpful” Afzol thanked Sarah

“Can I ask one more question, where can I study cultivation? is there a school or a sect?” Afzol new that there must be sects or schools that teach cultivation but he didn’t know any so it was best to find out everything he can from Sarah who was willing to answer his questions

This Sarah wasn’t as surprised by Afzol’s level of knowledge and explained “ there are four major sects that teach cultivation in this kingdom. The Divine sword sect, The Elemental sect, The beast sect and the pill sect. If you really want to cultivate you must join one of the sects as only they have the materials needed to raise powerful cultivators.

Actually, I am headed to the city to join a sect, all the four sects are holding disciple recruitment day in the city in two days time. If you want to join a sect you have to go or you will have to wait for the next recruitment which is in a month's time. The four sects have people to stay in every major city to hold recruitment every month and our Barnet city is one of the major cities."

After hearing about the recruitment in two days Afzol felt that it was perfect timing as it was always Afzol’s plan to find a place to gather knowledge about this world and about cultivation. The AI also needed to gather information so that it can be more helpful.

"With more information, the AI should be able to analyse abilities of humans and beasts or at least tell me information about the beasts that it gathers information about. I am sure a sect would have a library full of beast Wikipedia's. " Afzol thought and planned his future to-do list.

"thanks for the explanation. I think I will try to join a sect" Afzol thanked Sarah

After the explanation Afzol sat in silence waiting to reach their destination.

While waiting Afzol wanted to check out his status.

"AI show my status," Afzol asked

Right as he asked a screen popped up in front of him.

He confirmed two of his theories. When levelling up to a new stage a much greater number of experience is needed then levelling up within a stage.

The second theory is that every time he kills an enemy of the same level he would not get the same amount. As he gets stronger the experience points he gets from kills of the same level will get lower which meant that he couldn't just keep killing low-level beasts to level up or at least it would take an extremely large amount of time to level up using this method.

"by my estimation, I am going to need to kill a couple of Qi refining stages to level up to the next stage" Afzol thought to himself.

After checking his new status he finally got out the pouch he got from the bandit leader from his pocket. He wasn't worried about Sarah seeing it as he long guessed that she was from a rich family and this little money would not mean anything to her.

But to Afzol who currently had nothing, this was a heavenly gift. With the money inside, he didn't need to worry about starvation.

When he opened the pouch inside was about two hundred silver coins the size of five pence coins of UK money back on earth and 30 gold coins the size of earth one pound coins.

From the memory of the previous soul of this body, he knew that one gold coin was equivalent to 100 silver coins. This was an extremely large amount of money to the previous host of his body. It was enough to keep his family from starving for one or two years. Of course, this would be barely surviving. A normal poor mortal uses at least 2 to 3 silvers a day just to eat. But for beggars, the same amount would be enough to feed them for 2 or more days.

This was more than enough to keep him fed for a while.

Chapter 8: Parting ways, treasures hunting

After about an hour's drive the carriage finally reached the city entrance. The city was surrounded by a huge wall and at the entrance was a gigantic gate and in front of the gate were many men in uniform with swords in their waists either standing guard or inspecting the carriages going into the city.

As this was one of the major cities with the kingdom it was full of travels and merchants, and those there was a big line of carriages slowly going through the line and waiting till it was there time for an inspection.

Of course, they didn't have any problem with the inspection as they didn't have anything besides them in the carriage.

After going through the gates the Afzol saw a big road headed straight down the middles of the city all the way to the middle of the city where there was a big palace. This was where the mayor of the city lived.

Along this road was both sides of the road were full of shops of many kinds.

Afzol could see many amazing and magical things he had never seen before on earth. He felt like he was Harry Potter going into Diagon Alley for the first time.

This was going to be the start of his journey towards power, adventure and happiness.

"In a lot of novels, the mc doesn't enjoy the fact that they are lucky enough to be in a world full of wonder and don't cherish the moments. But I plan to enjoy every part of this world" Afzol thought to himself as saw his future in mind.

After enjoying the sites for a few moment it was time to explore

"Sarah can you please let me off here," Afzol said to Sarah.

"Oh, are you going now? I guess this is goodbye maybe we will see each other in the disciple recruitment." as Sarah said this she called the carriage driver to stop

After saying goodbye Afzol got off the carriage and want on the sidewalk. Afzol had some things to do to prepare himself before he went to the disciple recruitment and most important of them was to buy me clothes. If he went anywhere like this he would be asking to be bullied.

So he started walking through the street and quickly found a store and so walked towards it but as he was about to enter he heard the shouts of an old man from a nearby store.

"come try your luck here, you can definitely find a treasure." the old man shouted

Afzol looked over and saw that the man had a table full of old relics like broken weapons, stones and books.

Afzol got a little curious and so went over to see what was happening

"old man what are you selling?" Afzol asked

The old man looked and sized up the boy in front of him and soon came to a conclusion

"dirty beggar get away from here. if you stay here no customers will come to the store" the old man shouted loudly after releasing that the boy in front of him was nothing but a beggar.

This was exactly the situation he wanted to avoid and the reason why he wanted to get a be set of clothes, but he didn't mind the old man because he could have just bought and worn a new set of clothes then come to this shop but he had a better idea and that was to use his look to show that he was poor so that the owner wouldn't give a high price if Afzol found something he wanted

"old man I am not a beggar, I only look like this because I came from training." Afzol said with a fake angry look

After seeing that he had made a mistake and made the boy angry the old man didn't immediately apologised but first looked at the boy again, but after checking he still found that even if the boy just trained it looked too worn out and guessed that it must have been worn many times and from this he deduced that even if the young man was not a beggar he was definitely poor, but even so he still apologised as he rather have a poor customer then no customer.

"I am so sorry young man, my mistake please forgive."

"it's fine, can you explain to me what you sell"

"I sell old relics and mysterious objects at a very cheap price, but what you get relies on luck as some of them may be worthless junk but believe me there are mystical treasures among them, I once sold an old ugly looking rock that turned out have a big top-quality spirit stone and the guy that bought it soon used it to reach the Qi refining level 9 and then became an outer sect disciple of one of the four big sects." the old man used temptation to persuade Afzol into buying one of his relics.

"so do you want to try your luck young man?" the old man asked

"they all just look like junk to me, how much are you selling them for?" Afzol asked

" young man, I assure you there are true treasures among the junk and all the relics are 20 silver each but because I offended you earlier as an apology I will give you a 10 percent discount how about it?" the old man saw that the boy was surely poor so lowered the price and used it to tempt the boy more.

Afzol looked through the table and examined the relics and felt a tingly sensation coming from the table but he couldn't locate which item it was coming from.

"AI scan the items on the table," Afzol asked the Ai in his mind

[Strong Soul and spatial fluctuation detected from two items]

"AI show me the two items" as Afzol asked two hologram arrows pointed at two relics. One was a small stone the size of a baseball and the other was an old worn out book

"old man are you crazy you want me to spend twenty silver on something that might be junk." Afzol said to the old man after examining the relics

"how about this i feel like trying out my luck just for fun but twenty silver is too much how about ten?" get asked the old man

" young man if i sell it to you for ten silver coins how am i going to make money. I am gonna be generous to you today and will make it fifteen silver coins each for you and no lower" the old man said with a reluctant and unhappy face.

Afzol didn't say anything for a moment and looked as if he was in thought then said ok

Afzol had enough money so didn't haggle anymore and risk the old man no selling to him

Afzol looked and touched all the relics and picked up the two items the AI selected. He touched all the items so as to make it look like he was picking randomly. After picking the two he paid the old man 30 silver coins and left.

He kept the book in his hand and the rock in his pouch. He couldn't check out what the two items were until he was alone so decided it was best to not look into it instil he found a place to stay. He saw a couple of hotels on the way here so finding a place to stay would not be a problem.
